The ancestral teachings and knowledge of our Indigenous ways of knowing and being teaches us how it relates to caring for the land.
Students embark on many field trips across the Squamish territory to foster a deep sense of responsibility to each other, and to mother earth, during land-based learning experiences.
Students also engage with Recycle BC, are responsible for a school-wide composting program, and participate in a garden program that educates youth about mitigating food waste and supporting circular food systems. Our students are also involved in community cleanups.
Students participate in the Salmonid Enhancement Program to take action in rebuilding vulnerable salmon stocks in our territoy.
